Noe otherwise announce my retirement as City Manager. It has become apparent that the majority of CITY MANAGER the City Council prefers to go a different direction in the administration of the City. I am willing to respond affirmatively to that. suggestion and announce my resignation and Po Box 9277 retirement from the position of City Manager effective September 1, 2008, subject to the terms CoipusCtaisti and conditions of the Employment Conditions and Salary for City Manager George K. Noe Texas 78469-9277 approved by the City Council when I was hired as City Manager in April 2003. While I would rather continue as Fax 361-880-3839 City Manager, I am willing to resign on this basis only because of the expressions of a majority of www.cctexas.com the City Council noted above. It has been an honor for me to serve as City Manager of Corpus Christi, and I have appreciated the experience of guiding this City over the past five years. We successfully completed the projects from the Bond Election of 2000 and implemented a new capital improvement program with the Bond Election of 2004. We also successfully implemented the Seawall restoration and American Bank Center improvements approved by the voters in 2002 and the construction of Whataburger Field authorized in 2004. Corpus Christi was recognized in 2003 as an All-America City, and that recognition illustrates my personal belief in this community. Upon acceptance by the City Council of this resignation on the terms stated, this letter will constitute my binding agreement to retire effective September 1, 2008, and the City's agreement to abide by the terms of the Employment Conditions of April 15, 2003 in accordance with the conditions expressed in this letter and provide the severance compensation upon the termination of my employment.
