5.a. Motion authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute all documents
necessary to accept the grant from the America's Promise Alliance in the amount
of $10,000 for the purpose of hosting a Dropout Prevention Leadership Summit
during the first quarter of 2009 that will allow community leaders to convene key
stakeholders to develop and/or advance action plans for improving the high
school graduation rate and ensuring young people are ready for collegeltechnical
training, work and life.
