SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
JULY 17, 1972
10:00 A.M.
PRESENT:
Mayor Ronnie Sizemore

Mayor Sizemore called the meeting to order.
City Secretary T. Ray Kring called the roll of those in attendance.
Mayor Sizemore asked that this meeting be recessed until 10:00 o'clock a.m.
tomorrow morning, July 18, 1972, due to the fact that a Restraining Order has
been served prohibiting Council action on the proposed ordinance which would
annex certain lands within the Nueces River, which was the purpose of this
Special Meeting.
Motion by Bonniwell,seconded by Stark and passed, that this meeting be
recessed until 10:00 a.m. July 18, 1972.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting
was recessed at 10:05 a.m., July 17, 1972.

TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, THE CITY MANAGER, THE CITY
SECRETARY AND THE CITY ATTORNEY TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
NOTICE is hereby given that a special meeting of the City Council
of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, will be held in the City of Corpus Christi,
Texas, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, at 10:00 o'clock, AM., on
the 17th
day of July
, 1972 for the purpose of annexing to
the City of Corpus Christi certain.public lands and territory within the Nueces River,
consisting of 30.5 acres of land and water contiguous and adjacent to the present
City Limits, extending approximately five air miles upstream on said river from the
present City Limits.

CONSENT TO MEETING
We, the undersigned members of the City Council, the City Manager,
the City Secretary and the City Attorney to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas,
hereby accept service of the foregoing notice, waiving any and all irregularities
in such service and consent and agree that said meeting shall be at the time and
place therein named and forthe purpose therein Mated.
