CITY CONTROLLER OF THE CITY OF CORFGS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, TO EXECUTE FOR AND ON BEHALF OF SAID
CITY ACONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN SAID CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI AND HOW H. WADE, IH RELEASE
AND SETTLEMENT OF A CONTRACT FOR ARCHITECTURAL
SERVICES DATED THE 6TH DAY OF JANUARY, 19W,
BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND
HENRY H. WADE, BEING CONTRACT NO. 5021 AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEN CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,

SECTION 1, That the Mayor and the City Controller
of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be, and they are hereby,
authorized and directed to execute an agreement, for and on
behalf of said City, by and between the City of Corpus Christi,
Texas, and Henry H. Wade, in release and settlement of a contract
for architectural services dated the 6th day of January, 19Li2,
by and between the City.o£ Corpus Christi and Henry H. Wade,
being Contract No. 5020 a -copy of which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof and reads as follows, -to -wits

time it is doomed impractical to proceed with the contemplated
remodelling and repairing of the said City Hall because of the

contract advisable to terminate the said scmtract and the mutual
obligations contained therein as of this dstei and

already performed have boon settled to the satisfaotidm of all
parties and it is agreeable and satisfootory to all parties in
full, final and complete settlement that the *aid City of Opus
Christi pay to said Henry H. Wade the ace of One Thousand rive

of all claim for services rendered or expenses incurred by rooms

SECTIOR 2, The public importance of this Ordinance
creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity re-
quiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no Ordinance or
Resolution &hall be passed finally on the data it is introduced
and that such Ordinance or Resolution shall be read at three
several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared
that such public emergency and imperative necessity exist, and
having requested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that
this Ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction
and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY ORDAINED.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause
of the foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and an im-
perative necessity exist for the suspension of the Charter
rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be
passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such
ordinance or resolution shall be road at throe several meet-
ings of the City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that
you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this
ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the
present meeting of the City Council.
