HomeMy WebLinkAbout01684 ORD - 06/02/1944BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TE',AS : SECTION 1. That the attached contract by and between the City of Corpus Christi and County of Nueces, as Owner, and Brock and Anderson, as Architect, dated May 4tb, 19L4, the same bring the contract batween the Owner on the one part, and the Architect on the other part, for a Nurses' Home, such project being numbered Tex. 41- -666N, be and the same is hereby in all things approved by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas. SECTION 2. That the Mayor of the City of Corpus Christi is hereby authorized to execute said contract for and on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi, and his execution thereof shall consti- tute a binding contract on the part of the City of Corpus Christi in accordance with the terms and conditions in said contract set out. SECTION j. The fact that it is imperative and necessary for the health and welfare of the citizens of the City of Corpus Christi and Nueces County that the construction of said Nurses' Rome be started imediately creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule that no Ordinance or Resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such Ordinance or Resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter Rule be suspended and that this Resolution be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction, and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY RESOLVED.
