SECTION 2. That any person, persons, firms, corporations or associations who shall fasten, tack, nail', tie, glue, paste, or maintain any placard, poster, banner or any other material on the streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, signs: light posts or bases, street light posts or bases, telephone posts or electric posts in the City of Corpus Christi or causes the same to be done, shall be deemed guilty of a xi =demeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be find in ,zy sum not less than Five Dollars ($5.CO) and not exceeding Ire Hundred Dollars (4200.00), and each day any suei: placard, poster 'ca;;rar, or other material is per =itted to remain upon any street, s•= ewal'k, cam. Gentlemen$ For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and an im- perative neeessity exist for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such Ordinance or Resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
