AN ORDINANCE
REOEIVING INTO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEEAS, PROPERTY ADJACENT TO THE CITr.CF.
CORPUS CHRISTI AND FULLY. DESCRIBING SAME
AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI; DEFINING ITS LnaTS AND DECLARING
THE.SM A PART OF THE.CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TESASI AND DECLARING AN EMIRMCY.
WHEREAS. the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is the owner
of its M-4 ipal Airport which is now within the City limits of the
City of Corpus Christi and abuts on a pAblio highway which is not
owned by any private person and it is to the beet interest of the
City that said highway be included within the City ts^ita to the
extent that the Bans joins said Municipal Airport so as to place
said highway under the supervision and protection of the said City]
and
WHEREAS. the City of Corpus Christi is desirous that such
property become an integral part of the said City in order that such
property may hale more adequate police protections
NON, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TE%ASz
SECTION 1. 11at the territory defined by metes and bounds
as follows, to Bitz
BEGINNIMX; at a point in the present City limits line,
said point of beginning being the intersection of the
southern extension of the West property line of the 5
acre tract, conveyed to Corpus Christi Independent School
District by L. L. Woodman and wife, Juanita Woodman by
deed dated the 23rd day of April. 1941, and recorded in
Volume No. 269, Pages 328 — 329 of the Deed Records of
Nueces County, Texas; and the present City limit line.

west corner of above mentioned Corpus Christi Independent

THENCE. South crossing Morgan Street Extension and
O1d.Rroemsvills goad to a point on the South boundary
line. of Old Brownsville Road, some being the Northwest
property line of the Municipal Airport of Corpus Christi,
Texas=
THENCE. Southeasterly with the Nortdwest property line
of the Municipal Airport of Corpus Christi, Texas, same
being the Southeast boundary line of Old Brownsville>Road
and Mortar Street Extension, to an intersection with the
Southerly extension of the present city limits line being
in Air Port Road end being 5 feet West of and parallel to
the East boundary line of Air Port Roads
THENCE. in a Northerly direction crossing Old Browns-
ville Road and Morgan Street Extension with the extension
of the said present City limits line in Air Port Road to
a point in said City limits line that is 5 feet South of
the North boundary line of Morgan Street Extension and 5
feet West of the East boundary line of Air Port Road ex-
tended{
THENCE. Easter?]d%ith the present City limits line
which lies 5 feet%Sf and parallel to North boundary line
of Morgan Street Extension to the place of beginnings
be, and the same is hereby admitted into the City of Corpus Christi
as an integral part thereof. and said territory shall hereafter be
a part of the City of Corpus Chriativ subject to the general lure of

SECTION 2. The fact that it is important to the City of Cor-
pus Christi and all its inhabitants that the highway adjacent to its
Muatoipal Airport be within the limits of the City of Corpus Christi.

the suspension of the Charter rule that no Ordinance or Resolution be
passed finally on the date of its introduction, and that said Ordinance
or Resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Cou
Rill and the Mayor, in writing, having declared that said emergency
and imperative necessity exist. and having requested that said Charter
rule be suspended, and that this Ordinance be passed finally on the
date of its introduction, and that this Ordinance take effect and be

For the reasons set forth in the emergency
clause of the foregoing Ordinance, a public emergency and
imperative necessity exist for the suspension of the Charter
rule or requirement that no Ordinance or Resolution &ban be
passed finally on the date it is introduced, "and that such
Ordinance or Resolution shall be read at three several meet-
ings of the City Counoill I, therefore, hereby request that
you suspend such Charter rule or requirement and pass this
Finance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the
present meeting of the City Council.
