SAS, the City of Corpus Christi now owns Lots Three (3)
and Four (4), Block Four (4), Highland Estates of the addition to the City
of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, and the said lots are not needed or
required for municipal purposes and James, L. Lowman and Elizabeth Trumaa
Low,c desire to purchase said lots for the sum of Twelve Hundred Fifty
Dollars (1l, ?50.00); therefore
HE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTI0h 1. That the sale of the following described property by

the City of Corpus Christi to James L. fcvman and Elisabeth Truman Lowman `
be, and the sane is hereby, authorized for the sus of Twelve Hundred Fifty
Dollars (11,250,00):
Lots Three (3) and Four (4) in Block Four (4), Highlord
Estates Addition to the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces
County, Texas; said lots being more fully described in
a mop or plat of said addition on file in the office of
the County Glerk of Nueoes County, Texas,
which said sum shall be payable by Four Hundred Dollars 0400.00) cash upon
the execution and delivery =of dead, and Eight Hundred Fifty Dollars (,050.00)
shall be pRrebla as proaided in the dead to be executed; and the Mayor and
City Controller of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, are hereby authorized
and -irected to execute for and on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi a
deed to said property co�eying the same to the said Lowrmans, a copy of
which deed is attached hereto and reads as follows, to- it:

That the City of Corpus Christi. Taxes. a municipal corporations
duly incorporated under the law of the State of Texas, of the County of
ivaces. State of Texas, for and to consideration of the sun of Twelve Hundred
Fifty Dollars ($1,250.00) to it paid and secured to be paid by Jams L,
Losmm and Elisabeth Truman Lommen as follarau Four Hundred Dollars

the star, and providing for 10% interest on all pact due interest and
installments. and providing the usual acceleration of maturity in event

SECTION 2. That said deed dated as of the date of this
Ordinance and delivered to the said grantees upon the said grantees
executing and delivering to the City of Corpus Christi the promissory
installment vendors lien note and deed of trust described in the afore-
said deed.
SECTION 3. Due to the fact that a public emergency and public
imperative necessity require the suspension of the Charter rule or require -
,..at that no Ordinance or Resolution shill be passed finally on the date
it is introduced, and that such Ordinance or Resolution shall be read at
three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared,
in writing, that such public emergency and imperative necessity exist,
e d having requested that such Charter rule be suspended, and t::at this
Ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take
effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the fore-
going Ordinance, a public emergency and an imperative necessity exist
for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no Ordinance
or Resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and
that such Ordinance or Resolution shall be read at three several meet-
ings of the City Council, I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend
said Charter rule or requirement and pass this Ordinance finally on
the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City
Ccunoi1.
