AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING TBE MAYOR AND CITY CONTROLLER
OF THE CITY OF, CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, TO
EXECUTE FOR AND ON BEHALF THE CITY OF COR-
PUS- CHRISTI A LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH THE
UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE 'FEATHER
BUREAU IN REGARD TO A SITE FORA CEILOMETER
AND CEILOMETER PROJECTOR, AND CABLE CONNEC-
TIONS AT THE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TBE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS;
SECTION 1. That the BRyor and City Controller of the
City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be and they are hereby, author-
ized to execute for and on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi
a license agreement with the United States Department of
Conroe Weather Bureau in regard to a site for a milometer
and a milometer projector, and cable connections at the muni-
oipal airport of the City of Corpus Christi, a copy of said
agreement being made a part hereof and reading as Pollens, to -rrit:

SECTION 2. The fact that the installation of such
oeilcmeter and ceilometer projector, and cable connections, will
greatly aid in enabling the United States Department of Commerce
Weather Bureau to asoertain the weather conditions in the City
of Corpus Christi and vicinity, and will greatly aid in the
safety of those persons using the Cliff Maus Municipal Airport,
creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity requir-
ing the suspension of the Charter rule or requirements that no
Ordinance or Resolution shall be passed finally on the date it
is introduced, and that such Ordinance or Resolution shall be
read at three several meetings of the City Counoil, and the Mayor
having declared, in writing, that suoh public emergency and impera-
tive necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule
be suspended, and that this Ordinance be passed finally on the
data of its introduction and take effeot and be in full £oroe and
effect from and after its passage, IT IS, ACCORDINGLY, SO ORDAINED.

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of
tbs foregoing Ordinance, a public emergency and an imperative
necessity exist for the suspension of the Charter rale or
requirement that no Ordinance or Resolution shall be passed
finally on the date it is introduced, and that such Ordinance
or Resolution shall be read at three several meetings of
the City Councils I, therefore, hereby request that you
suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this Ordi-
nance finally on the data it is introduced, or at the present
meeting of the City Council.
