Phillips, submitted to the City Council , for the erection of public comfort stations for said city, on lday 29, 1945, be, and the same is hereby accepted, the City Council finding such bid to be the lowest and best submitted, and tha Mayor and City Controller of Corpus Christi, Texas, are hereby authorized and directed to execute, for and on behalf of said city, a contract with the said John -ff. This eoatraot made and entered into the lot day of Jugs, 1945. by and between the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, as Omer, and Jahn No Phillips, sa contractor, witnesseths That said contractor all furnish all Material and labor to Construct and ouplote the hereinafter described comfort stations, at the cost Of material and labor, taxes, insurance and equipment rental plus ten per cent (10g) for overhead and profit, payment tar the anew to be mode by the City of Corpus Christi. Tawas. upon the completion, and acceptance of the said comfort stations by said city, the comfort stations to be erected hereunder are as follow a (a) To install rest rooms in Lovenskiold Fmk, in accordance with plans prepared by Dexter Imsomw architects sad in accordance with directions from 1. Contractor agrees to ereot said comfort stations is a good and workmenlika ms.mor and to bogie work on the seem immediately upon the execution of this contract. and to Complete said work, anbject to the obtaining of priorities, on Cr before July 1, 1916. Contractor agrees that before he shall be entitled to receive amy pay -ant for the above work that the same shall be accepted by the City Park Commissioner and vinance Cossismioner and he shall present to the City Controller his weekly pay -roll sheets., all bills for materials and an affidavit that all of the labor represented on said payroll sheets wee aotually performed on said jobs and all mterial as shorn by said invoices was actually used on said jobs and that all bills for labor and material have been Paid in toll ( presenting the.erith signed pq roll sheets and receipted invoices) and that there are no liens of any kind against any of said jobs,. i%tAass the hands of the parties this lot day of Joe, 1945. Texas 1945 TO THE ATOM OF THE CITP COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI Corpus Christi, Texas Gentlemen= For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and an imperative necessity exist for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no Ordinance or Resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such Ordinance or Resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council; 1, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this Ordi- nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
