BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'TY OF CORPUS C- 1RISTI, TEXAS:
Section 1, That the Hayor and City Controller of the City of
Corpus Christi, Texas, be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed
to execute for and on behalf of said city a lease agreement with the
Baptist Foundation of Texas, a copy of said agreement being made a
part hereof and reading as follows:

Section 2. The fact that there is a great need for said public
comfort stations in the locality of the said premises and the further
fact that there will soon be an influx of itinerant cotton pickers
into the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, which will require that said
public comfort stations be installed and ready at the time of such
influx for the protection of public health in the City of Corpus
Christi, creates a public emergency and imperative public necessity
requiring the suspension of the charter rule or requirement that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is
intemduoed, and that such oraldnanoe or resolution shall be read at
three several meetings of the City Council,, and the Mayor having declared
in writing that such public emergency and mmperative public necessity
exist, and having requested that such Charter Rule be suspended, and that
this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and
take effect from and after its passage, IT IS, ACCORDINGLY, SO ORDAI MD.

Gentlemen: -
FT the reasons set forth in the emrgency clause of
the foregoing Ordinance. a public emergency and an imperative
necessity exist for the auspenaion of the Charter rule or
requirement that no Ordinance or Resolution shall be passed
finally on the date it is introduced, and that such Ordinance
or Resolution shall be read at three several meetings of
the City Councilr I, therefore, hereby request that you
suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this Ordi-
nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present
meeting of the City Council.
