Before me, the undersigned authority, on this day
personally ap_eared Roy L. Self and 17. S. Lowery, known to
lie to be the persons whose names are subscribed to the fors -
gaine iastrumsnt of writing as '.ayor and Controller, respective-
ly, of the City of Corpus Christi, and acknowledged to me that
they each signed the same in said respective capacitlea for
the purposes and consideration therein expressed and as the
dot and deed of said City of Corpus Christi.

Section 2. That said release of easement shall be delivered upon
the payment to the City of Corpus Christi of the consideration of ;,200.00
mentioned in said release of easement.
Section 3. he £ac +, that the release of easement is necessary to
be executed in order that industrial develonmont may proceed in the area
adjacent to the property described in said easement creates a public emer-
gency and a public imperative necessity, requiring the susnension of the
Charter rule providing that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed
finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution
shall be read at three meetings of the City Council, and the Hayor having
declared that such public emergency and imperative necessity exists, and
requests that said Charter rule be suspended, and that this Ordinance tale
effect and be in force and effect from and after its passage, and it is
accordingly so ordained.

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergenoy clause of
the foregoing Ordinance, a public emergency and an imperative
neaessity exist for the suspension of the Charter rule or
requirement that no Ordinance or P.esolution shall be passed
finally on the date it is introduced, and that such Ordinance
or Resolution shall be read at three several meetings of
the City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you
suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this Ordi-
nance- finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present
meeting of the City Council.
