WHEREAS. a number of private citizens and organisations rendered invaluable service to'the City of Corpus Christi during the recent atom and evacuation of the North Beach Areal and WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commissioners are deeply appreciative of these services and desire to give public recognition to those who participated in thews YAP.,; ^TQ4'mv, BE IT RESOLVED& That the Mayor and City Comissioners, on behalf of the citizens of Corpus Christi, hereby express the gratitude and thanks of the City to all those who rendered aid on the ocoasion of this threatened disaster, and in particular to the fallowing organisations and individuals who tirelessly, efficiently. and at great personal risk. assisted in the protection of the lives and property of both residents and visitors to this city and its environs Capt• Chas. W. Ogden, Disaster Relief Chairman of the Nuaces County Chapter. American Red Cross. who, as over -all head of the local Relief Work, directed and oo- ordinated the services of all workers• The American Red Cross and its local volunteer workers serving with the following Sub - Committee Chairmen: Mrs. Douglas Jackson -- Canteen Chairman and Chairman of Sub- Comaittee for food.
