TAXI CAB COMPANY TO VICTOR MORENO, DOING BUSINESS UNDER THE NAME OF RED TOP TAXI COMPANY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, did on the 30th day of April, 1946, pass and approve an Ordinance granting a franchise to R. H. Comer and J. D. Irwin, d/b/a -Union Taxi Cab Company, said Ordinance being Ordinance No. 1894 of record in Volume 14o Page 578 of the Resolutions and Ordinances book of Corpus Christi, Texas; and WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 2042 said franchise and the rights and instances thereunder was transferred to Brooks Lindsey, d/b/a G. I. Cab Company, on March 14s 1947; and WHEREAS, Victor Moreno, doing business under the firm new of Red Top Taxi Cab Company, has purchased the franchise of the G. I. Taxi Cab Company (which is the same franchise conveyed by Union Taxi Cab Company) including the eight (8) permits granted by the City of Corpus Christi, the eight (8) meters owned by the Union Taxi Cab Company, such sale being subject to the approval of the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi; NOW, THER ORE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Taxi Franchise (same being the rights, titles and interests conveyed by the Union Taxi Cab Company to Brooks Lindsey) and all rights and privileges incident thereto which was issued to R. H. Comer and J. D. Irwin, doing business as the Union Taxi Cab Company and was transferred by Brooke Lindsey, doing business under the firm new of G. I. Taxi Cab Company of Corpus Christi, Texas, is hereby transferred to Victor Moreno, doing business under the firm name of Red Top Taxi Cab Company of Corpus Christi, Texas, and said transfer is hereby approved. That the said Victor I�Tcreno, doing business under the firm name of Red Top Taxi Cab Company, shall be bound by all the terms, covenants and obliE-ations of the original franchise issued to Z. H. Comer and J. D. I,,In and to Brooks Lindsey. SECTIONI 3. The Union Taxi Cab Company has entered into a contract of sale with Victor P;oreno and I hereby quit claim any interest I might or may have by reason of the ordiriance conveying said franchise and permits to me. Since I have and have had no interest in the franchise and eight permits; therefore, I hereby ask approval of the City Council to trans- fer the sane.
