APPROPRIATING MONEY FROM GENERAL FOND NO. 102
TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATIONAL EX-
EWES FOR THE CITY - COUNTY MSPITAL, CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, there is needed the sum of Fifteen Thousand
Three Hundred and Thirty Three Dollars and Thirty Four Cents ($15,333.34)
for operational expenses for the City's part in operating City - County
Hospital for the remainder of the fiscal year, and
NfOREAS, there are sufficient funds in the General Fund
No. 102 which is now unencumbered and which funds are available for this
purpose;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum
of Fifteen Thousand Three Hundred and Thirty Three Dollars and Thirty
Four Cents ( 415.333.34) from the General Fund No. 102 which money is
to be used for operational expenses for the City - County Hospital for the
remainder of this fiscal year.
SECTION 2. The fact that it is essential to operate
the City - County Hospital for the welfare of the citizens of this City
creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity requiring the
suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be
passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council,
and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency and imperative
necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended,
and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction
and take effect and be in hall force and effect from and after its passage,
IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.

I have examined the accounts and fund from which the
appropriation is made, as provided for in the ordinanoe attached here-
to, and I do certify that the money required for such appropriation
is in the Treasury to the credit of the fund from which such appro-
priation is to be dream, and that there are monies in such fund
which are not appropriated for any other purpose and which are avail-
able at this time.

Gentlemen:
It is necessary that there be appropriated the sum of
Fifteen Thousand Three Hundred and Thirty Three Dollars
and Thirty Four Cents (415,333-34) to be used for opera-
tional expenses for the City - County Hospital for the
remainder of this fiscal year, this being the sum of
Four Thousand Dollars (84,000.00) per month.
This money is available in the General Fund No. 102
and can be appropriated for use for this purpose.
