REDUCING CERTAIN APPROPRIATICNS FOR CURRENT
FUND NO. 102 ANTI) TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM SAID
CURRENT FUND NO. 102 TO STREET FUND NO. 108
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the budget of the City of Corpus Christi contains
certain items of expenditure supported by a proper appropriation for
Current Fund No. 102; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City can, without
detriment to its operation, reduce Current Fund No. 102 in the amount
of Fifty Thousand ($50,000.00) Dollars;,and,
WHEREAS, Street Fluid No. 108 of the City needs additional
funds to satisfactorily carry out various programs to be completed before
the end of this fiscal year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL CF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the appropriation for Current Fund No. 102
is hereby reduced in the sum of Fifty Thousand ($50,000.00) Dollars.
That such reduction and appropriation leaves unencumbered and unappropriated
in the Current Fund No. 102 the sum of Fifty Thousand ($50,000.00) Dollars.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby transferred from Current
Fund No. 102 to Street Fluid No. 108 the sum of $50,000.00.
SECTION 3. The fact that the City has surplus in Current
Funds No. 102, but needs additional monies in Street Fund No. 108 in order
to carry on proper street work creates a public emergency and public
imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that
no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is
introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three
several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared
that such public emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having
requested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance
be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and
be in full force and effect from end after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY
SO ORDAINED.

Gentlemen:
I have examined the accounts and fund from which the
appropriation is made, as provided for in the ordinance attached
hereto, and I do certify that the money required for such appro-
priation is in the Treasury to the credit of the fund from which
such appropriation is to be drawn, and that there are monies in
such fund which are not appropriated for a-V other purpose and
which are available at this time.

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the
foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity
exist for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is
introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at
three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that
you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of
the City Council.
