WHEREAS, there is needed in Current Fund No. 102 the sum of Five Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty -seven Dollars and Fifty -seven Cents ($5,837.57) to make payment for engineering and supervision ser- vices on sidewalk construction project for October. November, and December, 1946, and January, February, March, April and May, 1917; and, WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in Sidewalk Construction Fund No. 208, which is now unencumbered and which funds are available for this purpose; NOG(, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of Five Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty-seven Dollars and Fifty -seven Cents ($5,837.57) from Sidewalk Construction Fund No. 208 for payment for engineering and supervision services in Sidewalk Construction project as set out in statement attached to this ordinance and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes. SECTION 2. That there is hereby transferred said sum of $5,837.57 from Sidewalk Construction Fund No. 208 to Current Fund No. 102, said sum to be used for the purposes set out in Section 1. SECTION 3. The fact that it is essential to provide proper and adequate sidewalks for the benefit of the health and safety of the citizens of the City creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public '4/l4 emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.
