Ch.arter of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas; and,

such public hearing that the hereinafter describe-6 alley should be

to have said alley closed;

alley bisectinZ Block Thirteen (13), Serest Addition of the City of
Corpus Christi, Texas, running from 1'orEan Street South to iienley Street
and lying between Cleo and Sarita Streets, be closed to puAic use.
SECTION 2. That t;-io said alley above described is hereby closed,
cancelled and abandoned by the (;ity of Corpus Christi, Texas.
SECTION 3. The fact that public convenience and necessity will
be better served by the irmitectiate closing of such described alley creates
a. public emergency and public imperative necessity requirin, the suspension
of the Charter rule that no ordinance or re6olution shall be oassod finally
on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall
be read at three several raeutinL-s of the City Council, -Ind the 1.iayor having
declared that such public emergency and imperative necessity exit, and

having requested that such Chaster rule be suspended, and that this
ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take
effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
IT IS ACCORDLACLY S0 ORDAINED.

Gentlemen;
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the
foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity
exist for the suspension of t %ie Charter rule- or requirement that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the d.ate it is
introduced, and that .Mch ord.inarce or resolution shall be read at
three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that
you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of
the City Council.
