hire of equipment for the performance of :miscellaneous services in the
City mire Department; and,

which are now unencumbered and which funds are available for this purpose;

3ECTI0Y 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of Six
Hundred (r6o0.00) Dollars from General Fund No. 102 which money is to be
used by the City Fire Isarshall for the hire of equipment for ti:e per-
formance of miscellaneous services in the Fire Department.
j'C'11ON 2. The fact that the City Fire Department is in great
need of adequate equipment to carry on miscellaneous services in said
department said the fact that it is vitally necessary for said department
to function uninterruptedly and with adequate and sufficient equipment
creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity requiri% the
suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be
passed finally on tie date it is introduced and Viat such ordinance or
resolution shell be reac', at three several meetings of the City Council,
and the I.'ayor having declared that such public emergency and imperative
necessity exist, and Having requested that such Charter rule be suspended,
and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction
and take effect and be in full force laud effect from and after its passa;e,

appropriation is made, as provided for in the ordinance attached
hereto, and 1 do certify that the money required for uoh appro-
priation is in the 'Treasury to the credit of the fund iron which
such appropriation is to be drawn, and tnat there are monies in
such fund which are not appropriated for =s, other purpose and

foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity
exist for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is
introducea, nd that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at
tree meetings of the Cii;y :ouicil; I, therefore, Hereby request shut
you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass tiiis ordinance
finally on the dace it is introduced, or at -wie present inzetin u2
