AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER OF
THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, TO EXECUTE
FOR ADD OPT BEIiALF OF THE CITY A SPECIAL WARRANTY
DEED TO ROBERT H. FLATO, AND DECLARING AN EMER-
GENCY,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of Corpus
Christi be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute for
and on behalf of the said City of Corpus Christi a Special l;arranty
Deed to Robert H. Flato, a copy of which deed is attached hereto and
made a part hereof and reads as follows, to- it:

SECTION 2. The fact that a portion of the titles to land
involved in bayfront improvement has not been settled and this ordi-
nance being necessary to further clear titles to said bayfront property
creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity requiring
the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance
or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City
Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency and
imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter
rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the
date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDIXGLY SO ORDAINED.

COUNTY OF NUECES )
That the CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, a municipal corporation, of the County
of Nueoes and State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of TEN AND N0 1100
($10,00) DOLLARS, to it in hand paid by ROBERT H. FLATO, and in further consideration
of the conveyance by the Grantee herein to the CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, of
even date herewith, and other good and valuable considerations, have GRANTED, BAR_
GAINED, SOLD AND CONVEYED, and by these presents do GRANT, BARGAIN, SELL AND CONVEY
unto the said CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, the following described tract or parcel
of land, being and situated in Nueces Oounty, Texas, and within the corporate limits
of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, and being particularly described as follows,
to -wit:
A tract of land Thirty (30) feet by fifty (50) feet lying and being east of
Lot Three (3), Water Block Five (5), of the Beach Portion of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
The beginning point is located by starting at the original northwest corner of
Lot Three (3), Water Block Five (5), and following the north line of said Lot Three
(3) and the continuation thereof in an easterly direction Three Hundred Ten (310)
feet to the point of beginning;
Thence in a southerly direction parallel with the east line of Water Street
fifty (50) feet to a point for the southwest corner of the tract hereby conveyed=
Thence at right angles in an easterly direction Thirty (30) feet to a point
for the southeast corner of the tract hereby conveyed;
Thence in 0 northerly direction parallel with the east line of Water Street
fifty (50) Feet to a point for the northeast corner of the tract hereby conveyed;
Thence in a westerly direction parallel with the south line of the tract hereby
conveyed Thirty (30) feet to the northwest corner of the tract hereby conveyed
and point of beginning.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together with all and singular
the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging, unto the said ROBERT H.
FLATO, his heirs and assigns, Forever; and the CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, does
hereby bind itself, its legal representatives to warrant and forever defend all and
singular the said premises unto the said ROBERT H. FLATO, his heirs and assigns,
against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part
thereof, by, through or under said City of Corpus Christi, Texas.

BEFORE ME, the undersigned authority, on this day personally appeared
H. H. Allen, known to me to be the person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing
instrument as City Manager of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, and acknowledged
to me that he executed the same as the act and deed of said City and under the seal
thereof, and in his official capacity as stated, for the purposes and consideration
therein expressed.

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the
foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity
exist for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is
introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at
three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that
you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of
the City Council.
