AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER OF
THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, TO EXECUTE
A RELEASE OF UTILITY EASEMENT TO MORRIS LIEDEKER,
ET UX, COVERING A PORTION OF AN EASEMENT IN TIE
BARR KEELER ADDITION AND DECL&RING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS%
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi a
release of an easement to Morris Liedeker and wife, Bertha, covering a
certain portion of an easement located in the Barr Keeler Addition
within the City of Corpus Christi, a copy of which release is attached
hereto and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes.

The City of Corpus Christi, Texas, a municipal corporation,
acting through its City Manager and City Secretary does hereby release,
remiss and relinquish unto Pdorris Liedsker and wife, Bertha Liedsker,
of Nueoes County, Texas, all of its right, title and interest in and
to the following Utility nasemont located in the City of Corpus Christi,
in Nueoes County, Texas, and described as follows, to -Witt
Being a strip of land 10 feet in width and 94.84 feet in
length lying along the west side of Lot 5. Barr Keeler Sub-
division and being the north 94.84 feet of a ton foot easement
granted to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, in 1940 by
Worris Lisdolasr and wife, Bertha Liodsker, dated July 10, 1940,
and recorded in deed records of Nueoes County, Texas, in Volume
260, 'gage 83.
EXECUTED this the day of February, A. D. 1948.

BEFORE ME, the undersigned authority, on this day personally
appeared H. H. Allen. City Manager-of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas,
a aatnioipal corporation, known to me to be the person and officer whose
name is subscribed to the foregoing instrument, and acknowledged to me
that the smae was the act and deed of the said City of Corpus Christi,
Texas, and that he executed the same as the act of the said City for the
purposes and consideration:thersin expressed, and in the capacity stated.

SECTION 2. The fact that it is necessary to execute the
release referred to above in order to clear title to land on which the
City has abandoned their easement creates a public emergency and public
imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that
no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is
introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three
several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared
that such public emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having
requested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance
be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and
be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY
SO ORDAINED.

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the
foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity
exist for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is
introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at
three meetings of the City Council; I. therefore, hereby request that
you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of
the City Council.
