"SUPPLIES - OTHER" TO BE USED FOR FIRE INVESTIGATIONS i9THIN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, AND DECLARING AN EMER- GENCY. WHEREAS, there is needed in the City Fire Marshall's Budget under Item: "Supplies - Other" the sum of Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars to defray the expenses of fire investigations in the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, by said Fire Marshall for the remainder of the fiscal year; and, WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in General Fund No. 102 which is now unencumbered and which funds are available for the aforesaid purpose; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars from General Fund No. 102 which money is to be used in the City Fire Marshall's Fund for the purpose of investigating I fires in the City of Corpus Christi during the remainder of this fiscal year and said money is hereby transferred to said City Fire Marshall'a Fund under Item: "Supplies - Other ". SECTION 2. The fact that it is essential to appropriate the money set out herein in order to efficiently investigate fires within the City of Corpus Christi and in order to provide adequate fire protection for the citizens of this City creates a public emergency and public impera- tive necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordi- nance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED* rJ� c7'1� .f (ordinance No. 2 225 ) PASSED AND APPROVED this 1L day of February, A. I have examined the accounts and fund from which the appropriation is made, as provided for in the ordinance attached hereto, and I do .certify that the money required for such appropria- tion is in the Treasury to the credit of the fund from which such appropriation is to be drawn, and that there are monies in such fund which are not appropriated for any other purpose and which are available at this time.
