AUTHORIZING AND DI_RECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A gTJIT CLAIM DEED TO HARRY BARTLETT
COVERING A TRACT OF LAND FIFTY (501) FEET BY
ONE HUNDRED (1001) FEET LYING EAST OF LOT, 7
IN BLOCK 63 OF BEACH PORTION OF THE CITY AND
DECLgRING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute
for and on behalf' of said City a Quit Claim Deed to Harry Bartlett
covering a tract of land fifty (501) feet by one hundred (1001) feet
lying east of Lot 7 in Block 63 of Beach Portion of the City, a copy
of which quit Claim Deed is attached hereto and made a part hereof
and reads as follows, to -wit:

That the City of Corpus Christi, a municipal sorporatio; for
and la consideration of the sue of one (11.00) roller to it in hand
paid by harry Bartlett of Nusces County, Texas, the receipt of which is
hereby acknowledged, does by these presents BARGAIN, BILL AND FOREVER
WIT OLAIm unto the said Harry Bartlett, his Iris and assigns all its
right, title and interest in mad to that certain tract or parcel of
land lying in the County of Aueoss and State of Texas described as follows=
Being a tract of land Fifty (50) by One Hundred Fifty (150)
feet lying cast of i.ot Seven (7), Block Sixty -Three (63) of the
Beach Portion of the City of Corpus Christi, Texses more pertioularly
described by metes and bounde ae follms.

Thence in a northerly direction parallel to the east lice

Townes in a westerly direction parallel with the. south line

TO AAV6 AND TO HOLD the said promises, together with all and
singular the rights, privileges end appurtenances thereto and in aqV
manner belonging unto the said Harry Bartlett. his hairs sad assigns
forever, so that neither the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, its assigns,
nor any person or persona claiming under it shall, at any time hereafter,
have, claim or demand soy right or title to the aforesaid premises or
appurtananoes, or any part thereof. -

SECTION 2. The necessity for clearing of title in properties
exchanged by the city and various property owners of Beach Portion to
to City creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity
requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or reso-
lution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that
such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings
of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public
emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that
such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally
on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO CRDAMD.

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the
foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity
exist for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is
introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at
three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that
you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of
the City Council. _
