That the City '- •'anaser of the City of Commas Christi is hereby auLiiorized and directed to accept the proposal of Myers and !oyes and Associates to revise the plans of the Water Filtration Plant at Calallen, a -.d the plans for the Savage Lane reservoir, and that said i7ers and rioyes and Associates are to receive J1,07$.00 for work on the Filtration Plant at Calallen, and ;1565.30 for work on the Savage Lane deservoir, a copy of said Proposal being attached hereto and :wade a part of this ordinance. SECTION 2. The necessity for securing adequate plans and specifica- tions in order to insure adequate water supply in the City creates a public emergency and public irperative necessity requiring tine susnensicn of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally.on the date it is introduced and 'chat such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Layor having declared that such public emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACC0l1DI14aLY SC 0_tAItiED. Allen: ceplying to your letter of April 29th in regard to the engineering cost in- volved in bring up to date the plans and specifications for a proposed Filter Plant Lxtension at Calallen and the Pumping Plant ana Reservoir at Savage Lane. 'This pork involves certain changes in the plans and in the specifications, title sheets and title blocks, multigraphing and binding of specifications. de estimate the cost of the work on the Filter Plant at Calallen at $1,075.00 and the cost of the work on tae Pumping Plane and Reservoir at Savage Lane at ",1,565.00. ?n your letter you suggest 25 copies of the specifications. Since there will be a heavy call for these specifications from material and equipment dealers, we would suggest that this amount be increased to 50 copies of the specifica- tions, and have so estimated the cost. Fie believe the filter Plant Plans and Specifications can be ready about lay 20th and the Savage Lane Plant Plans and Specifications about June 10th.
