BE IT ORDARED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF Ti's' CITY OF CO3FLS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Pdanager be authorized and directed to ...cute w Lase for and an behalf of the City Y,ith Housing Authority of the City of Corpus Christi, covering a tract of land 344.9 feet in width and 508.3 feet in length out of Blocks 2. and 3 Tierra Alta Addition to the City of Corpus Christi, said land to be used as a public park and pleasure grounds and for purposes of amusement and recreation, said Lease to run for a term ending Febru- ary 14, 1953, and the rentel on same to be One Dollar, ($1.00) per year. SECTION 2. The necessity for providing adequate parks and playgrounds for the .citizens of the City of Corpus Christi creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity requiring the sus- pension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the May— having declared that such public em C —y and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such _ Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and e£f..t from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAIl,�D.
