BE IT QRIIAINED BY, TBE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TRIASI SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Texas and New Orleans Railroad Company, said contract granting to the City a license to construct and maintain a helve inch (12x) server pipe line extending from a point in the South lice of Block 73, 6.4 feat north of the southeast oorner of said block, in a northwesterly direction to a point 7.43.2 feet west of the northeast Corner of said block, and a thirty -six inch (W) sewer pipe line extending from a point in the Railroad property at the end of Hughes Street, in a northwesterly direction to a point in the south line of Brewster Street 584-0 feet west of the west 7.9ne of Trost Street, both of said lines to be located Cn Beach Portion in the City of Corpus Christi, Texas. SECTION 2. The necessity for providing proper right -of -way for sewer pipe lime, and in order to properly protect the health and welfare of the citizens of the City creates a public emergency and public impera- tive necessity requiring the Suspension of the Charter rule that no ordi- nanoe or resolution abalI be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meet- ings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency end imperative neoesaity exist, end having requested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORnaTfiFT, PASSED AND APPROVED this , day of July, 1948- ATTWD _ a , r UIVY 8e City of Corpus Christi, Texas APPROVED AS i t gorpus Christi, Texas Jtily &,1918 TO THE MMM OF THE CITY COMOIL Corpus Christi, Texas Gentlemen: For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspension of the Charter role or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduoed, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
