BEAT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TE%ASS SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on babel P of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, a Contract for the oonstructioD of Nueces Bay Boulevard Storm Sewer Main, Laterals and Appurtenant Structures in the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, which Contract bee been awarded to Hsldenfels Brothers, a oo- partnarship, in scoordanne with the pleas, specifications and oon- tract documents on file in the City Secretary's office, and according to the Bid of the said Beldenfels Brothers, opened on the 22nd day of July, 1948, the said Bid of Heldenfels Brothers being the lowest and most advantageous to the City. SECTION 2. The fact that it is to the greatest and beneficial interest to the City of Corpus Christi that such improvements shell be immediately begin in order to protect the health and general welfare of its citizens creates a public emergency end public imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolu- tion shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Counoil, and the Megor having declared that such public emergency and imperative necessity eaiat, and having requested that suoh Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCCOINGLY SO ORDAINED. i AN ORMUNCB NO.
