BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CCDNCIL CF THE CITY CF CCRPCs CHRISTI, TEXAS. SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, a Contrast for the oonetruction of three oonorete affiverts and ons oonorete slab bridge along Coeau Drive in the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, which Contract has been awarded to Heldenfels Brothers, a oo- partnership, in a000rdance with the plans, speoiflostions and oon- tract docomonts oa file in the City Sesreteayls offioe, and a000rdiag to the Bid of the said Heldenfele Brothers, opened on the 23rd day of July, 1948, the said Bid of Heldenfels Brothers being the lowest and most advantageous to the City. SECTION 2. The fact that it is to the greatest and beneficial interest to the City of Corpus Christi that such improvements shall be inmediately begun in order to protect the health and general welfare of its citiaeas —sets. a public emergency and public imperative neoeesity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordlneaoe or resolu- tion shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution Shall be read at three several meetings of the City Counoil, and the Mayor having deolared that such public emergenoy and imperative necesaity exist, and having regaeated that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take offset and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT I8 ACCORDINGLY SC ORDAINED.
