AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR
A LEASE FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
WITH ALICE DUNK, HATIE DURN, AND HELEN
DNNN FOR LAND ON WEICH TO OPERATE A
GAS METERING STATION AND DSOLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,

SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of Corpus Christi,.
Texas, is authorised and directed to execute a Lease Contract with Alice
Dunn, a fame sole, Ratio Dunn, a fame sole, and Helen Donn, a fame sole,
covering a tract of land in Nusoss County, Texas, to be used for a gas
metering station, s copy of said Lease being attached hereto and made e
part hereof for all pertinent purposes.

SECTION 2. The necessity for providing sites for gas metering
stations in order to provide proper gas facilities for the citizens of
the City creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity re-
quiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolu-
tion shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such
ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the
City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency
and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter
rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the
date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCOMIEGLY SO 07MAILM.

Gentlemen.
For the reasons set forth in. the emergency .lave. of the
foregoing ordinance, a publio emergency and inperative necessity
exist for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is
introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read
at three meetings of the City Counoil, I, therefore, hereby request that
you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of
the City Council.
