CLOSING ALL THAT PORTION OF CHEYEENE STREET ,
BETWEEN AGNES STREET AND NORTH OF SAID AGNES
STREET TO THE END OF SAM CHMW BMW,
SAID STREET ENDING AT WESTGATE HEIGHTS ADDI-
TICNj AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT= THE CITY
MANAGER. FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, TO
CCNVEY BY QUITCLAIM USED THE CLOSED PORTION
OF SAID STREET TO JONAS WEIL UPON CONVEYANCE
BY SAID JONAS INTL OF A STRIP OF LAND FIFTY
FEET (50') WIDE WHICH WILL PROVIDE A STREET
CONNECTING AGNES STREET WITH WESTGATE HEIGHTS
ADDITION, AND DECLARING AN EMGENCY.
WREaFAC, Notice of the closing of that portion of Cheyenne Street,
hereinafter described, bas been given by publication and by registered mail
to the last known addresses of all owners abutting said portion of Cheyenne
Street and within 4501 feet thereof, and thereafter pursuant to said Notice,
to -vd.t, on the 3rd day of August, 1948, a Public Hearing was held by the
City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, in a000rdanoe with the
provision of Section 6, Artiole 2 of the City charter of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texaap and,
WEERELS, it has been duly determined by the City Council after
such Publio Hearing that the portion of Cheyenne Street North of Apes
Street to the end of said street, Sams ending at Westgate Heights Addition
is not suitable for street purposes, and that it will be to the advantage
Of the City of Corpus Christi to have said portion of Chayeana Street
closed.
NWP, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEAS.
SECTION 1. That the following portion of Cheyenne Street in the
City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be closed for public use, said portion being
described as follows; to -wit:
All that portion of Cheyenne Street (or the
extension of said Cheye Street) lying be-
tween Agnes Street and the North end of said
Cheyenne Street or'its extension which ends
at Westgate Heights Addition.
SECTION 2. That the City 1'%nager of the City of Corpus Christi
is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Quitclaim Deed conveying the
above described closed portion of Cheyenne Street to Jonas Weil in exchange
for a conveyance from said Jonas Weil to the City,,conveying a strip of
land Fifty Feet (501) wide out of the West and of the Jonas Pail Traot,

WAGh will provide a street connecting Agnes Street with Westgate Heights
Addition.
SECTION j. The fact that public convenience and necessity will
be better served by the closing of Cheyenne Street within the limits des-
cribed in this ordinance, creates a public emergency and public imperative
necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that
such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the
City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency and
imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be
suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its
introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
Its passage, IT IS ACCORDINCLY SO ORDAIMM.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 3 day of August, A. D. 1915.

three meetings of the City Councils I, therefore, hereby request that
YOU suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Counoil.
