BE IT MaINED By ME CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMM CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Corp— Christi, Texas, a Contract for the construction of storm sewer improvements consisting of six small projects, V&ioh Contract has been wwded to Heldenfels Brothers, a oo- partnership, in aocordance vrith the plane, speoifioations and contract deet�ents on file in the City Seoretaryts office, and according to the Bid of the said Neldenfals Brothers, a opened on the 29th day of July, 1948, the said Bid of Heldenfels Brother. being the lowest and moat advantageous to the City. SECTION 2. The fact that it is to the greatest and beneficial interest to the City of Corpus Christi that such improvements shall be immediately begun in order to protect the health and general welfare of its citizens creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or rsaolu- tion shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that suoh public emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and otter its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO CBDAINED. PASSED AND 4VPROVED this day of August, A. D. 1948.
