FROM UNAPPROPRIATED MOVIES IN WATER-
WORKS SYSTEM F=, ITStd "WAIrTENATOE
AND OPERATIONS" NO. 141 TO BE USED
FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING MERCANTILE
NATIONAL BANK AT DALLAS, FEES AS
TRUSTEE UNDER TEE DEED OF TRUST AND
SUPPLEIMSTAL DEID - TRUST SECURING
WATHRUORBS REVENUE BONDS. SE$ISS
1948 AND SERIES 1945 -A, ARD DEOIAR-
ING AN EMERGENCY.
WHW", Mercantile National Bank at Dallas is Trustee under
Deeds of Trust executed by the City of Corpus Christi, scouring Water-
works Revenue Bonds, Series 1948 and Series 1948 -A, end.
WHEREAS, there is due said Mercantile National Bank at Dallas
for Trustees fees the sum of $2,710,50; and,
WEE82AS, there ere sufficient funds in Waterworks System Fund,
Item "Maintenance and Operations" No. 111, which is now uaenoumbered and
Which funds are now unappropriated and are available for this purpose;
N01T, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TIM CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI. TEAS.
SECTION 1, There is hereby appropriated from the unappro-
priated monies in Waterworks System Fund, Item ' aintenanoe and Operations"
No. 111, the sum of $2.710.50 to be used for paying Mercantile National
Bank at Dallas, Trustee's Pees due as Trustee under a Deed of Trust and
Supplemontal Deed of Trust executed by the City of Corpus Christi to
Secure Waterworks Revenue Bonds, Series 1918 and Series 1918 -A,
SECTION 2. the fact that said Trustee-. fees are now due and
should be paid in order to promptly carry out the Trust a.greaments creates
a public emergency and public imperative necessity requiring the auspen-
Sion of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed
finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinanca or resolu-
tion shell be read at three several meetings of the City Counoil, and
the Mayor having declared that such public urgency and imperative
necessity e2dst, and having requested that Such Charter rule be suspended,
end that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction

I have esemined the accounts and fund from which the
appropriation is made, as provided for in the Ordinance attached
hereto, and I do oertify that the money required for such appro-
pri tion is is the Treasury to the credit of the fund from which
suoh appropriation is to be draws, and that there are monies in
such fund which are not appropriated for any other purposes and
which are available at this time.

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the
foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imporative necessity
exist For the suspausion Of the Charter rule or requirement that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the data it is
introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at
three meetings of the City Council, I, therefore, hereby request that
YOU suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Council.
