B. RAGSDALE, AND DECLARING AN EMEERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CBRISTI, TESAS. SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is hereby authorized end directed to execute a Contract with H. B. Ragsdale for and on hehalf of the City for the purohase of Lots 1, 3, and 5. Blook 113, Brooklyn Addition to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, said land to be used for right -of-W purposes for oon- struction of U. S. MTICN 3. The faot that it is nsoessary to obtain proper right -of -sway in order to proceed with the construotion of U. S. Highway 110. 181 within the City of Corpus Christi creates a public emergency and publio imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such crdinanoe or resolution shall be read at three sovsral mestings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY So ORDAINED.
