"'ENV M ST_ —T FROM ADAM CRUZ, AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SAID RICRT- OF -WLY, AND DECLARrTG AN EMERGENCY. VZMW, it is deemed necessary that Lavmview Street be opened and extended south to Beverly Drivel and, WEERFae, there is needed the sum of 0800.00 to purchase right- of-my for opening and extending said street; and, first there are sufficient funds in Street Fund No. 108, which is now unincumbored and W ioh funds are now unappropriated and are avail - able for this purpose; NW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIYED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEYAS% SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to purchase ribht -of-uV from Adams Cruz for the extension of Lawnvi.ew Street south to Beverly Drive. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated from the unappro- priated money in Street Fund Ho. 106 the sum of 44800.00 to be used for the purchase of right -of -way sat out in Section 1 of this Ordinance. SECTION 3. The necessity for providing adequate streets within the City, and in order to provide for the safety or the citizens and prevent traffic hazards croates a public emsroonoy and public imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction end take effect and be in full force and offset from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDIUGLY SO ORDAIM.
