WP tEAS, the budget for the City of Corpus Christi for the fiscal year beginning August 1, 19118, and ending July 31, 1949, was adopted by the City Council at a Regular aeeting of said council held on July 27, 1948; and, w?REAS, since the edoption of said budget a 07ave public necessity has arisen and it is necessary for the City to meet unusual and unforeseen conditions, which could not by reasonable thought and attention have been included in the original budget; and, en? .BeS, due to such grave necessity and public emergency the City Council in regular session on August 24, 1943, amended said budget; and, iGiKtaS, additional revenues in the nature of additional tares due to increased tax valuations, which were not foreseen at the adoption of the original budget, will be received by the Citjj and such additional revenues are sufficient to take care of increases set out in said amended budget; NOff, T:ti RRFOItE, 3S IT CriDAI! %M BY T?43 CITY CCUNCIL CF TIE CITY OF CO ?.PIES C• IST!, TMUS: SECTION 1. That on this the 24th day of August Md, and subsequent to and following the passage of the ordinance amending the budget of the City of Corpus Christi for the fiscal year beginning August 1, 1943, and ending July 31, 19491 certain sums of money be, and they are hereby appropriated, to -cover the sans as provided for each of the several departments of.said city, as said sums do a?oear in the amended budget 'already approved by ordinance by the City Council of the City oY Corpus Christi, said amended budget being of record in the archives of said City. —1- a�-� 1 The foregoing Ordinance was read the first time and passed to the second reading on the day of ugust 1943, by the following votes Wesley E.
