MADDINB . PRIME7AD%, CONVEYING LOT TWELVE (12), IN BLOCK 101, BROOKLYN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEAS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, on the 19th day of November, A. D. 1948, the City entered Into a oontract with Charles Piimeaua and wife, Maudine Primeaux, whereby the City agreed to exchange Lots Twelve (12) in Block One Hundred One (101) of the Brooklyn Addition for the West Sixty -five Feet (W. 651) of Lot Ten (10) and the West Sixty -five Feet (W. 651) of Lot Twelve (12), both lots in Block Eighty -eight (88), in the Brooklyn Addition; and, WEEREAS, the exchange of such properties is now in order. ROW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TER CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TE%ASt SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of Corpus Christi is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Special Warranty Deed for and on behalf of the City to Charles Primeauz and wife, Maudine Primeaux, oo"eying Lot Twelve (12). in Block One Hundred one (101), Brooklyn Addi- tion to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas. SECTION 2. The necessity-for providing adequate right -of -way for U- S. Highway No- 161 within the City limits creates a public emergency and public imperative neoessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is intro - duoed and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having deolared that such publio emergency and imperative neoessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinanoe be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.
