THOMPSOH, TBOST&E, FOR THE So ANT0&IO, WALDE & GOLF RATiTM C011PAHY FOR A LICENSE TO CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN A 11- -INCH GAS LIffi;, AT ENGINEER'S CHAINING STATION GV34 AT OR MAR CORPUS CHRISTI. NM= CCCNTY, TEXAS, AND. DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COONCIL OF THE CITY OF COHPOS CHRISTI, Z=t SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby duly author- ized and fully empowered to enter into and execute for and in the rime of the City a certain written agreement dated Edgy 31, 1948, between the City end Guy A. Thompson, Trustee for the San Antonio, Uvalde & Gulf Railroad Company for the construction, ownership, maintenance and use of one certain I 4-inch gas line oroseing the San Antonio, Uvalde & Gulf Railroad Company's premises and Engineer's Chaining Station dt^, at or near Corpus Christi, NuOces County, Texas, or as more particularly set cut in said agreement to Watch reference is made to the same as if fully set out herein. SECTION 2. The necessity for providing light- of-way for gas lines in order to provide proper gas facilities within the Cityareates a public emergency and public imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having re- quested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction Bud take effect and be in fuU force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.
