BE IT CRDAINED BY TDB CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS,
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorised and
directed for and on behalf of the City to execute a contract with The
Texas Maxioan Railway Company for the right to lay, maintain, operate
and repair a 15 inoh sewer pipe line under the right -of -way of said
railway company on the west side of Flores. Street in the City of Corpus
Christi, a copy of said contract being attached hereto and made a part
hereof for all pertinent purposes.

nation at any time after the effective date of this contract upon sixty days written notice by either party,

It is hereby agreed that before any future changes shall be made in said pipe line crossing, a written
permit shall be secured from said Railway Company.

less The Texas Mexican Railway Company from all cinim demands, damages, actions, costs and charges
to which it may be subject or which it may havelto pay, by reason of any interruption of railroad service
mused by or as the result of the laying, maintaining, operating or repairing of said pipe line, or by reason
of any injury to any repair men or other persons or to property, or by reason of loss of life or property,
suffered or sustained by any persons whomsoever while performing or about to perform any work or
service in connection with or while any such persons or property are at or near said pipe line.

SECTION 2. It is further provided that the sun of Ten Dollars
(010.00) be paid said Texas Mexican Railway Company for aforesaid right-
of-way. said sum to be paid out of Sanitary Sewer Improvement Bonds 1910
Construotion Fund.
SECTION 3. The neoessity for providing adequate right -of -ways
for the plaoing of Sanitary sewer lima within the City Orestes a publio
emergency and publio imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the
Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution sbell be passed finally on
the date it is introduced end that such ordinanoe or resolution shall be
read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having
deolared that suoh publio emergency and imperative necessity exist, and
having requested that suoh Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordi-
nance be passed finally on the date of its introduation and take effoot
and be in full foroe and effoot from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORD-
INGLY SO ORDAINED.

Gentlemen:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the
foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist
for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinanoe
or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduoed, and
that sash ordinanoe or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the
City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
