BE IT OBDAINED BY TBE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the work of construction of certain improvement. of storm sewer of reinforced concrete pipe and appurtenant structures at the following locations: Santa Fe, Minnesota to Angelo; Annapolis, Staples to Shely; Shely, Florida to Cambridge; Naples, Price to Shely; Ikesett, Brown- lee to Josephine; Carriso, Park to Laredo; and extension of Tancahua Street Box Oulvert north of Laredo Street, within the City of Corpus Christi per- formed by Heldenfels Brothers, having been performed and completed in accord- ance with the terms and provisions of the contract and the plans and specifi- cations therein contained, said contract having been entered into by and be- tween the City mud Beldenfols Brothers on the 3rd day of August, 1948, and the Director of Public Norks having inspected the sane and certified to the completion of said work in accordance with said plane and .peoifications, and said work aforesaid is hereby found to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and is here now accepted and received by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas. SECTION 2. That final payment due under the contract in the sum of Bight Thousand Nine Hundred and Sixty Dollars and Twenty Cents ($8,960.20) be made in accordance with the terms of such contract, same including extra work ordered by the Director of Public works of the City and that such pay - mant be made from Storm Sewer bVrovemsnt Bond. 1948 Construction Fund. SECTION 3. The necessity for making'improvemsuts end extensions to the atom sewers of the City creates a public emergency End public im- perative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that ouch ordinanoa or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public urgency and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule w. 2-437 be suspended# end that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in Pull force and effect Pram end after its passage.
