FLOUR BLUFF AND SNCINAL FARM AND
GARDEN TRACTS, CONTAINING 10 ACRES
MORE OR LESS, FOR A CONSIDERATION CF

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,

SECTION 1. That the C1'bY Manager is hereby authorised and
directed to eaeoate for and on behalf of the City an .11, gas and mineral
lease to W. F. Batamen of Bexar County, Texas, covering Lots 9 and 10 of
Section 21, of the Flour Bluff and Encinel Farm and Garden Tracts, contain-
ing hD acres more or less, a copy of said lease agreement being attached
hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes.

SECTION 2. The necessity for obtaining revenue from lands now
owned by the City creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity
requiring the suspension of the Charier rule that no ordinance or resolution
shall be pealed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance
or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council,
and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency and imperative
necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended,
and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction
and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
IT Is ACCORDINGLY 30 ORDAINED.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency olauae of the fore-
going ordinance, a publio emergency and imperative neoessity exist for
the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that
such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City
Councill I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend Said Charter rule
or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is intro-
duced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
