PARK, AND DECLARI14G All EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORFUS CILRISTI. TEW, SECTION 1. That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 446 passed and approved by the City Council on the 18th day of January, 1949, is hereby amended and said section 4 of said ordinance shall hereafter read as follows, to -wi.te sSEOTION I}. That in pursuenoe of said ordinance, duly enacted, by said City Council, authorizing and ordering the improvement of Tarlton Street, within the limits herein- above named and defined, and in pursuance of said proceedings heretofore had and emoted by said City Council in reference to said improvements and by virtue of the powers vested in said City with respect to said street improvements by the Laws of the State of Teaas and the Charter of said City, with pertioular reference to Chapter 106 of the Acts of the First Called Session of the Wth Legislature of the State of Texas, lmom and shown as Article 1105 -b of Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes of Texas, as amended, there shall be, and is hereby levied, assessed and taxed against the respective parcels of property abutting upon said portion of said street, and against the real and true owners thereof, whether such real and true owner or owners be named or correctly named herein or not, the several soma of money hereinbelow mentioned and itemized opposite the desorip- tion of the respective parcels of said property, the number of front feet of each and the several amounts assessed against same and the real and true owner or owners thereof, and names of the apparent owners thereof, all as corrected and adjusted by said City Council, being as follows, to -wit; 7-q--7q I _ .; , ..:� � -- PAVING ASSESSMEATT- _ Tarleton Strset from the- wast Pavement kill A h. The necessity for amending said Crdiaanoe No. 2446 in order to show the correct property owners abutting upon Tarlton Street in order to properly levy assessments concerning same creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity, requirinC the suspension of the Charter rule, that nc ordinance or resolution shall be passod finally on the date of its introduction, and that said ordinance shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the &ieyor having declared that such emergency and imperative public necessity exist, and having re- quested that said Charter rule be suspended, and that this Ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction, and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACOMMINGLY SO ORDAIN. 11ASSM AND APPROVED this /rday of February, A. OR City of Corpus Christi, Texas Corpus Christi, Texas February A, C, 1949 TO THE ?M MS OF TH-1 CITY COVIICIL Corpus Christi, Texas Gentlemen% For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen- sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that suoh ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council, I, therefor, hereby request that you suspend Said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meet- ing of the City Council.
