HomeMy WebLinkAbout02501 ORD - 04/05/1949r. AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2,000.00) FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE IN THE GENERAL FUND TO POLICE BUDGET. ITEM "DI" STREETS AND ROADWAYS MAINTENANCE AND APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS (U.4oO.DO) FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE IN THE GENERAL FUND TO CITY HALL BUDGET, ITEM "DG" LAND AND BUILD- INGS MAINTENANCE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, there is needed in the Police Budget, Item "DI ", the sum of Two Thousand Dollara ($2,000.00) to be used for Streets and Road- ways Maintenance; and, ygj-U&U, there is needed in the City Ha11 Budget, Item "DG ", the sum of One Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($1,L00.00) to be used for Land and Buildings Maintenance; and, WHEREAS, there are now sufficient hinds in the unappropriated balance in the General Fund which is now unencumbered and which funds are available for this purpose; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEP.AS: SECTICN 1. That there is hereby appropriated the am of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) from the unappropriated balance in the General Fund to Police Budget, Item "DI" Streets and Roadways Maintenance, said sum to be used for streets and roadways maintenance. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of One Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($1,100.00) from the unappropriated balance in the General Fund to City Hall Budget, Item "DG" Land and Buildings Maintenance, said sum to be used for land and buildings maintenance. SECTION j. The necessity for providing adequate Rinds for streets and roadways maintenance and land and buildings maintenance in the City Hall Budget creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that sw h public emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage,'IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.
