OF THE EAST 20 FEET OF LOT 5 OF LAWN -
VILW ADDITION TO THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, AND TO
PAY THEREFCR THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND
EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ( $2;800,00) TO
BE PAID FROM NO. 108 STREET FUND AND
CHARGEABLE AGAINST APPROPRIATION ED --
JUDGMENTS AND DAMAGES FOR STREET AND
SIDEWALK- PURPOSES FOR THE WIDENING OF
AGNES STREET; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
C:�ISTI, TEXAS;
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
for and on behalf of the City to purchase the South 34 feet of Lots 3 and 4 and
the South Sly feet of the East 2;0 feet of Lot 5 of Lavmview Addition to the
City of Corpus - Christi, Texas, for the sum of $2,800.00 for street and side-
walk purposes for the mideniag of Agnes Street,
SECTION 2. That the City Manager is authorised to pay the sum of
$2.800.00 for said property, same to be paid from No. 108 Street Fund and
chargeable against Appropriation ED-- Judgmenta and Damages.
SECTION 3. The necessity for providing adequate right -of�ay for
street and sidewalk purposes
within the city limits creates a public emergency and public im-
perative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is intro-
duced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several
meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public
emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such
Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the
date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED.

For the reasons set fort h in the emergency clause of the
foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist
for the suspension of the Charter role or requirement that no ordimoanoe
or resolution shall be - passed finally on the date it is introduced, asi
that such ordinance or resolution shall be reed at three meetings of the
City Council] I. therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pr as this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced. or at the present meeting of the City Councils
