SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the Cit,° o£ Corpus ,.sti,
Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to execute contracts £or and on
behalf of the City with each of the following persons:
a. John Hirc- lich., Jr. regarding Lots Five (5) `
and Six (6), Block Two (2), ;later Beach Portion of the
City of Corpus Christi, Texas, and settlement of =is claim

b. C. C. Stone regarding Lots 1 and 2, "Block 5, e

and settlement of his claim for damages in the amount of

SECTION 2. That.the payments of all of the amounts listed in
Section 1 hereof be made from Fund No. 295, Improvement Bonds 19L;8 Con-
struction Fund (Street Improvements).
SECTION 3. The necessity for %7idening, improving and repaving
',Teter Street, setting back the adjacent buildings to the new and established
line of said street as promptly as possible, creates a public emergency and
public imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule
that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally or the date it is
introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall 'oe read at three
several meetings of the City Council, and the iayor having declared that such
public emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that
such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordi,-ance be passed finally on
