MARKINS, FOR THE PURCHASE PRICE OF ELEVEN

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEAS.
SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, be and he is hereby authorised and directed to execute
for an on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, a oontract for,
and complete the purchase for drainage purposes of 8.88 acres of land,
more or less, out of Lot 2, Section B of the Pai.slayis Subdivision of the
Hoffman Tract, Nueoes County, Texas, with Edward Henry Mar7dns and wife,
Lucinda Markin and George Oliver Markin and wife, Nora Narkiae, and
Yeager Lee Markin and wife, Jerrie Della Markin, for the purchase price
of ELEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FORTY -FOUR AND H0/100 ($11,5"00) and
make payment out of Bond Fund No. 295 "Improvement Bonds -1940 Construction
Fund Storm Sewer impauvements" as more partioularily described in said
contract, a copy of which is attacked hereto and made a part hereof and

the foregoing ordinance* a public emergency and imperetive necessity
exist for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is
introduced, and tlut such ordinance or resolution shall be read at
three neetingsof the City Co•.aciij 1, therefore, hereby request that
you susncad said Charter rule or requirement and pass Chic ordinance
finally on the date it is introduoed, or at the present meoting of the
City Council.
