AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
PURCHASE AIL OF THAT PART OF LOUISIANA AVENUE
LYING EAST OF OCEAN DRIVE AND NORTH OF THE SOUTH '
PROPERTY LIRE OF LOUISIANA AVENUE FROM MS.
CIZVE KED L. WRIGHT JOINED BY HER HUSBAND,
CLEVELAND L. WRIGHT, EARL, C. DUNN AND JOHN M.
DUNN, FOR TEE SUM OF ORE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED
SIXTY-ONE AND hGAOO DOLLARS ($1.961.40). PRO-
VIDING FOR PAYMENT OF SAME TO BE PAID FROM THE
STORM SEWER ffiROFMGMT BONDS 1949 CONSTRUCTION
FUND, AHD DECLARING AN MORGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorised and
directed to purchase all the right, title and interest of Mrs. Cleveland L.
Wright, Earl C. Dunn and John M. Dunn, the said Mrs. Cleveland L. Wright
to be joined by her husband, Cleveland L. Wright, in the conveyance, in
and to all land lying east of Ocean Drive and north of the south property
line of Louisiana Avenue of the Matt Dunn Subdivision situated in the City
of Corpus Christi, Nueoes County, Texas, including the riparian rights
thereof, said land to be used for right- of-way purposes for the oonstruo-
tion of the Louisiana Avenue Storm Sewer Project, and the City Manager is
further authorised and directed to do all things requisite to the acqui-
sition of such land.
SECTION 2. That the purchase price of One Thousand Nine Hundred
Sixty -one and 40/100 ($1,961.40) Dollars is to be paid from Storm Sewer
Dsprovement Bonds 1949 Construction Fund.
SECTION 3. The necessity for acquiring right -of -nays for'the
said storm sewer project within the limits of this City creates a public
emergency and public imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the
Charter rule that no ordiaaaae or resolution shall be finally passed on
the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be
read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor ha
declared that such public emergency and imperative necessity eziat,
having requested that such Chester rule be suspended, and that this o
nance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and tale effect
and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS SO
ACCORDINGLY ORDAINED.

Gentleman:
For the reasons set forth in the emergency olanse of the
foregoing ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist
for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance
or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and
that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three meetings of the
City Council; I, therefore, hereby request that you suspend said Charter
rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
