BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COU14CIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS. Section 1. Ordinance Number 2569 passed and approved by the City Council July 29, 1949 entitled "An ordinance defining and regu- lating public places of amusement and establishing and requiring a license for the same; and requiring payment of a license fee; and declaring an emergency" and the same is hereby expressly repealed in force and effect. Section 2. All other ordinances, whether referred to in said Ordinance limber 2569 or not, now in effect are hereby continued in full force and effect. Section 3. The necessity for immediate repeal of Ordinance Number 2569 before any enforcement was attempted creates a public emergency and imperative public necessity requiring a suspension of the Charter rule providing that no Ordinance or Resolution shall be passed finally on the day it is introduced, and that such Ordinance or Resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency and imperative necessity exists, and having re- quested that said Charter rule be suspended and that this Ordinance be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that this Ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, it is so ordained. ^ PASSED A14D APPROVED this the 'P day of 10— , A.
