That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed, for and an behalf of the City to purchase the following described land situated in Nueces County, Texas: A Tract of land 20 feet in width and 1280 feet in length off of the south side of a 30 acre tract conveyed to H. C. Peyton by 0. A. Peyton and wife Mary F. Peyton by deed dated February 9, 1945 and recorded in Volume 306 page 1102 of the Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas, said 30 acre tract being the south 3/4 of Lot 5 Section A of the Paisleys Subdivision of the Hof° - man Tract as shown by map of record in Map Boole A page 28 of the Nap Records of said County, said strip of land being more par- ticularly described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at a point in the east boundary line of said 30 acre tract for the southeast corner of Woe tract herein described, being the intersection of the east boundary line of Lot 5 and the north boundary line of a 40 foot Public Road as shown by map Cf record in Hap Book A page 28 of the Han Records of Nueces County, Texas. Said point bears N 280 - 10, - 40" E 20 feet from the cosmon corner of Lots 5,6,11, and 12, Section A. Paisleys Sub- division of the Hoffman Tract; Thence N 610 - 471 - 20" W with the north boundary line of said 40 foot Public Road a distance of 1280 feet to a point in the east boundary line of an 80 foot Public Road known as 'Reber Road for the southwest corner of the tract herein. described; Thence N 280 - 10+ - 40" E with the east boundary line of said 80 foot Public Road a distance of 2C feet to a point for the northwest corner of the tract herein described; Thence S 610 - 47+ - 20" E parallel to and 20 feet north of the north boundary line of said 40 foot Public Road a distance of 1280 feet t a point in the east boundary line of said Lot 51 Section A, for the northeast corner of the tract herein described; Thence S 280 - 10t - 40" 11 with the east boundary line of said Lot 5, Section A a distance of 20 feet to the place of beginning. Containing 0.59 acres more or less. all of said lands to be used for road, drainage, and other municipal purposes. 33CTI0N 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary contracts for the purchase of said land described in Section 1 hereof and to do all things ircident to or requisite to obtaining the title and possession of said land. SECTION 3. That the purchase price of Five Hundred and Ninety Dollars ($590.00) be paid to the owner, F. C. Peyton, and such additional sums as may be incurred as title expense incident to the acquisition of said land are to be paid from No. 295 City of Corpus Christi Improvement Bonds - 1948 Construction Fund (Storm Sewer Improvement). SxTION 4. The necessity for acquiring land at the location of said land herein described and the fact that the said land is required iimnediately for drainage and mad purposes in the improvement progrm now in progress creates a public emergency and public imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the mayor having declared that such Public emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take affect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDDIGLY SO 0PDAINM.
