AN ORDINANCE
RECEIVING INTO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, Ma, PROPERTY
ADJACENT TO THE CITY,OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, BEING TER
NORTBRESTER9 18.36 ACRES OF LOT ELEVEN (11). SECTION "C"
OF PAISLEY'S SUBDIVISION OF THE HCFF},igN _ TRACT, AND FU=
DESCRIBING,_ SAM. AS AN, INPEGRAL PART OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI; DEFINING ITS LIMITS AND DECLARING THE SAME A PART
OF THE.CITY. OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS
AND THE RULES, REGULATIONS. ORDINANCES, AND CHARM OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI; AND DECLARING AN MMGENCY.
WHEREAS, The City of Corpus Christi did, on the day of November.
19149a enter into an agreement with Herbert Alexander and Vernon D. Glass Jr.,
owners of the property hereinafter described, to admit said property into the
City of Corpus Christi, and
WHEREAS, There are no resident voters within amid territory; and
WHEREAS, Said property is adjacent to, and adjoins, the City limits
of the City of Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS. The City Council of the City of Corpus Christi deems it
advisable and to the best interest of said City that the following described
property be admitted into the City of Corpus Christic
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEYASt
SECTION 1. That the territory defined by mates and bounds, as
follows, to -wit;
All of that certain Tract of land, lying in Let 11,
Section C of Paisley's Subdivision of the Roffman Tract,
Nueces County, Texas, and being more particularly described

STARTING At a 3/I.i." iron rod. set for the common
corner of Lots 11, 12, 13, and "Section C of the Paisleys
Subdivision of the Hoffman Tract, for the South East corner
of the Fairfield Addition and for the South West Corner and
Poimt of Beginning of this description.
THENCE N. 28 deg. 101 E. along the common line of
the Fairfield Addition and this tract, at 30.0 ft. an iron
Pips continuing, along this saws line at 745.0 ft, an iron
pipe, the North East corner of Fairfield Addition, continu-
ing along this owe line to make a total distance of 1320.5
feet to a 3/4" iron rod. not for the common corner of Lots
5.6, 11, and 12, Section C, Paisley's Subdivision of the
Hoffman Tract, same being the North-West corner of this tract;
THENCE 8. 61 degr. 401 E. Along the North East Boundary
line of Lot 11,135-7 feet to a 3/!i." iron red, set for a corner
of this tract; _
THENCE S. 28 deg. 101 W. 240.0 feet to a point for an
interior corner of this tract;
THENCE S. 61 deg. 40' E. 330,0 ft, to a point in North
West Boundary line of the Sunflower Addition No. 2 for a corner
of this tract;.

line between Sunflower Addition No. 2 and this tract 1080.5
feet to a 3/I;a iron rod set in the South West boundary line
of Lot 11 for the South East corner of this Traot;same be -.

THENCE N. 61 deg. 400 W. 665.7 feet along the common
boundary line_ between Lots 11 -34, Section C to the POINT OF
BEGINNING.
Containing in all 18.36 acres, more or lessi
BE, and the same is hereby, ADMITTED into the City of Corpus Christi, as an
integral part thereof, and said territory shall hereafter be a part of the
City of Corpus Christi, subject to the general laws of the State of Texas,
the City Charter, and the Ordinanoses Resolutions, Motions, and Regulations
of the City of Corpus Christi. Such territory shall bear its proportionate
share of all taxes levied by the City, and its inhabitants shall have all the
privileges and be subject to all the duties of other inhabitants of the City
of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. The fact that the owners of such territery desire that
the same be immediately incorporated within the City limits of the City of
Corpus Christi, and the fact that it is imperative for the well-being of the
City of Corpus Christi that such territory be immediately incorporated with-
in the City limits of the City of Corpus Christi, create a public emergency
and imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule
that no ordinance or resolution be passed finally on the date of its intro-
duction, and that said ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several
meetings of the City Council; and the Mayor, in writing,having declared that
said emergency and imperative necessity exist, and having requested that said
Charter rule be suspended, and that this Ordinance be passed finally on the
date of its introduction, and that this Ordinance take effect, and be in full
force and effect, from and after its passage, IT IS SO ORDA XED.

Gentlemen;
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the
foregoing Ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necess-
ity exist for the suspension of the Charter rule or requirement
that no Ordinance or Resolution shall be passed finally on the
date it is introduced, and that such Ordinance or Resolution
shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council: I,
therefore, hereby request that you suspend such Charter rule or
requirement and pass this Ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
