That the City l nager is hereby authorized and direct- ed for and m behalf of the City to acquire a drainage easement on that certain tract of land being described as £ollowse Being an irregular strip of land out of the southwest portion of the W. E. Pope 170.14 acre tract conveyed by Guaranty Title and Trust Company, Trustee, to i7. R. Reid by deed dated February 12, 1946, and recorded in Volume .326, page 390 of the Deed Records of Nueces County, Toxas, said,strip of land being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows, to-wit. That the easement on that certain tract o£ land de- scribed in Section 1 hereof is being acquired for the purpose of con- structing and maintaining Gollihar Drainage Channel and appurtenances upon said tract and way for the ,nlblio use and benefit, as well as for laying, repairing, servicing and maintaining public utility lines and storm sewers in, on, over, under, and along said tract or way, and other municipal purposes. That the right- of-way on that certain tract of land described in Section 2 hereof is being acquired for the purpose of street construction, improvements, and maintenance and other municipal purposes including the use thereof as a utility easement.
